so i have been knitting for about a year now, and i completed my first fab pair of mittens a couple weeks ago. they went smoothly and i am happy to say they are good enough that i actually wear them. so i decided i would make a pair for a christmas gift or two...well sad to say...
as i completed my latest right hand mitten, i suddenly realized that the size was a bit...off. it looks like a mitten for a giant...we couldnt stop laughing...as you can see its bigger than bernice...she could use if for a sleeping bag...sigh...on to the next project.
last week erin and i did a little cross border christmas shopping extravaganza...and can i explain to you my frustrations at the border! not with the customs issues, but with the line up to go to the usa...ick two hours in the rain...boo...we totally missed even having the chance to hit the galleria. sucks. but we hit the outlet stores and target and we still very successful.
this weekend was a slow one, but on a very exciting note...jon has come to appreciate the hot yoga! we went to a killer class on sunday and he is even at one today...my legs are still hurting...on sat we rented the da vinci code, it was pretty good, but obviously not as good as the book, and i suddenly feel the urge to re-read it. sunday was mostly a pj day...even bernice stayed in her house coat....i love lazy sudays...oh i finished a new book called the "memory keepers daughter" i gotta tell you it was hard to stay with it...it sort of dragged, and although it picked up a bit near then end, the actual conclusion was frustrating...and pointless. erin was starting it, and not enjoying it, and thanks to my review has decided not to bother..;) i am pretty bad at choosing books...onto the next one..
