c'mon, i mean...who doesn't like dressing up for halloween? its hilarious, and you can look like an idiot, and not feel like one...or too much of one anyways. it's the fashion-freebie of the year, no critiques, all about having fun. last night we trick o' treated in oakville. let me give you the costume low down. maritza was a pink lady, nana was a queen, sammy was a princess, mila was a ...i dont know what, but she has a wild costume on, dave was a hedge, i was a cowgirl (yes easy is sometimes best), ginger (their dog) was snow white, and bernice was a lion. dave thinks that that was very degrading of me to do that to bernice...dressing her up in the feline species, but please look at the picture of
her and tell me how i could have chosen anything else....honestly cute enough to make you barf.mila went out with her friends so it was dave and sammy and bernice and yours-truly hitting the pavement in their new hood. nana and maritza (and ginger and abby) manned the door. some people really go all out on halloween, graveyards, scary masks, it was fun, and thank goodness the weather was so perfect! then we came back and sorted through the candy...yumm...sad to say thanks to the anti-peanut movement, reese's were few and far between...boo.

best of all sometimes people thought i was young enough to be getting some treats myself, so i filled my pockets...other times people thought that i was sammy's mum...yes that would have made me 16 having her, but i guess thats more common now. Ever since sammy was a baby people thought she was mine.
Our baby pictures are actually virtually interchangeable, we look alike thats for sure...we get it all the time. i hope that she takes that as a compliment, sometimes you get the "oh you look exactly like so and so" and you are kinda shocked, and mildly offended, and increasingly concerned about your appearance...ah well at least i know she likes my shoes!
