ode to the bff

bff...i love it. its a short form i can't help but smile at when i hear it. (for those of you who aren't so trendy or up on "computer lingo" bff stands for best friends forever - (awww in't that cute?)). i especially love it when jon uses it. there is something about a big, tough guy using the term that is undoubtably delightful.

maris, is my bff. she and i met through meghan, and we just fit perfectly. even better - our whole families are best friends! we have known each other for more than half our lives, and have been through a lot with each other over the years. we both admit we are pretty different from one another...but not really. maris is the person i call when i need to whine about somethign so trivial, and she knows how i feel, and makes me feel that it IS a big deal, even if its not. she knows when i need to be mean, and can be just as snobby as i can be. we absolutely are obsessed with clothes and both suffer from the there-is-nothing-in-my-closet disease. (i know there a few others out there that can sympathize - erin b for one) the only thing i wish was that we wore the same size so that we could double the size of our closet, although i think we still wouldnt' be satisfied.

we know basically what the other person is thinking and what we will say. we are type of people who have gone to other people's weddings and create a photo op for ourselves, we can fight like sisters, tell each other that the outfit we are wearing is "sooo last season", be moody, put each other in our place and even after all that, we still like each other.

maris is the most creative person i know. she is so style conscious and really confident in her wardrobe...i love that about her. i want to be more that way, she inspires me that way. she is so pretty too. she looks great virtually all the time - well i have seen in her in some not so pretty barf-all-over-my-room type moments as well - but for the most part she keeps it together...hahah....oh man...this is probably not even interesting to anyone but the two of us, but so what....its my blog! and i can do what i want. so there.

maris has her own company now its called twig. and she is a floral desinger...like how cool is that. she is so talented with stuff like this and i know she will do amazingly. anyways enuf for now about us. all i have to say is i heart maris...bff ...f&e. (forever and ever...just fyi)
