thats right this weekend was wedding number 5 for us for the 2006 year. and it was no less special than any of the others. stephanie and jay were married on friday and everything was ...perfect. the weather was perfect, the dress was fab, the ceremony very touching, and it is pretty much expected as stephanie is the most pulled together, well-organized, easy-going, everything-always-falls-in-place person i know! it was at the elmhurst and it was a lot of fun. they are off to the mayan riviera right now, relaxing and spending time together, lucky kids! 
i love wedding that are so meaningful and sincere. lyndon and i were sincere about our vows, but it didn't occur to us to be so emotional about it...i mean we were just getting married. period. end of story. now lets throw an amazing party. since then, i see the value in really taking a minute to think about how important a marriage is, and how many people never find someone that fits well with them, and that those of us who do are the lucky ones and should really appreciate that. don't get me wrong we are happy, and thankful, and know where we stand wth each other, but sometimes paying tribute to your love is a good thing. holly's wedding was that way and so was stephanie's. how nice to honour your spouse in such a way. - ps i made them a sign of course (i am having trouble uploading the pic, but check back later to see the design, a new angle i went with)
the next am we drove up to the cottage thinking that we would have missed the traffic from the night before....wrong-o. it was a brutal drive and took a year and a half i swear. we didn't mind it so much since we were driving nana's car ;) ryan and jon met us up there and we had a low key weekend, golfing, tubing and eating wayyy too much food. mila and sammy and nana came up too, and mila was archie crazy (a great way to spend a cottage weekend if i do say so myself) and sammy and i were tube crazy. i am not going to lie to you when i tell you that i actually went in the lake 4 times this weekend...i think thats a record for me for the past 10 yrs! (ps we did jump into the hot tub when we were done...of course!)
