ok steffie and jay...i need to ask you...are you two secretly working for glade? are you on their promotions staff? seriously you need to talk to them if you arent...talk about a great ad campaign - the uses people have for the cling wrap.....and to everyone out there, here is stef and jay's fab cling wrap use numero duo...let me set the scene...jay and steff were at target over the weekend and stef bought these fab stick on disposable placemats for noah...perfect for restaurant dining when you dont fully trust the cleanliness of the table (i personally do a full wipe down before estelle is even allowed to touch them) great idea target, props to you. when jay said...hey couldnt you just use cling wrap for the same purpose?! um yes you can! in fact the germ-a-phobe in me is imagining wrapping the entire table and chair in it. hahah...and i cant tell you how this answers a prayer for me as i watch mums world wide let their kids eat directly off of the tables in public places (without even a wipe down).and i had visions of me eventually caving out of convenience too...ick...im cringing just thinking about it...and gagging a little too. maybe it was lack of product knowledge....well no more! now there is no excuse ever again!

Before you jump too quickly to sing the praises of this product, you should give some serious thought as to what is actually in plastic wrap. It is not manufactured in a sterile facility (picture all of the people and their germ covered fingers on the production line). Secondly, and most important - the chemicals. It's frightening. These will cause liver damage, genetic changes, skin irritations etc. Take a good look around your home, because these chemicals are in so many things (furniture, flooring, even soothers and cribs). Also, what are you using to 'wipe down' the table with? The disinfectant type wipes are hazardous if absorbed by skin among other things. Germs are a drop in the bucket of what could potentially harm your child. Definate thumbs down for this product as a barrier between germs and babies.

though i understand the concern and find the plastic scare well quite scary. I also know Heather is very conscience of being proactive and ensuring a safe environment for estelle! ...i also know she uses organic baby wipes to clean the restuarant tables so they are goo-ey free..seen it with my own 2 eyes :)
