argh! ok i know ive vented about this before but its gotten worse! please please please...tell me why people think they have the right to touch my baby?! anyone? seriously i mean what major exception to the polite decency of personal space, teaching our kids to make sure strangers dont touch them, and the common courtesy of not randomly assaulting a person ...in the face, does the world have when it comes to babies?!
i swear i will (before the season is out) turn to a person who touches my baby in the face and touch them in the face! how do you like them apples?! yesterday i was at sherway, and i swear at least 6 people touched or attempted a touch of estelle. thank you i know you are complimenting my child by giving her the attention, but please can we (during the germiest season of all) keep our hands to ourselves?! especially the face folks...ick.
i was in that store honey in sherway and i was waiting for my mum as she made a purchase when a random sales girl comes up to me and starts cooing at estelle...im fine with this, but she had touchy touchy written all over her, so i was wary and ready for reach removal. the girl came in for the facial touch and i gently and swiftly pivoted so as to keep estelle out of her arms reach...well... she kept coming, it was close to a 180 degree pivot before she realized it wasn't accidental that i was turning. she stood there and rolled her eyes and humphed an o-kay in disgust at me and walked off. i was so shocked by her audible to say ...."well how bout i touch you in the face!" im just the voice/protector for the one who cant verbalize.
ahhhhhhh lets be considerate people...shes not even a year, can i at least attempt a sick-free first year of life?! sigh...

this entry made me laugh! i can just picture you doing the 180! as i would in the same situation! too funny! hands off random germy people. ps. i think at least 5 of my grade 1'ers coughed in my direction today (and coughed very closely) and i was not pleased! i could just feel myself getting sick!
