le television

yes its been 5 weeks since i sat down to watch tv. that's what happens at the cottage...let me qualify, i did watch some bits during the olympics, but there is something about being up north that just makes tv so entirely undesirable. its the time to chat, drink tea, read, play cards (i actually beat lyn and my dad in euchre this year...thats right it has been broughten). so when i came home the tv started to call to me. suddenly i needed to know what happened on y&r over the last month (and let me tell you a ton happened! i am so outta the loop, and can we puh-lease kick chloe off the show already?!) it all started with my pops actually...he said come sit with me, im watching the republican convention (nerd alert!). so i watched, and ps i wish guliani was running for prezzie. i watched the pallin speech...and i like her, mccain...not so much...the beginning of his speech was so blah blah blah, it ended on a high, but i just dont know...no pizazz. but more importantly...can we talk about the audience? i mean what on earth are these people thinking? they are at a political convention not a ho-down! i asked dad how these people get in and he informed me that they are chosen as representatives of their ridings or cities or states...um can we please have a no glitter glue rule? i think thats a fair request. it was a learning experience anyways, and im hoping to get a chance to check out the democrats' on youtube....to even it out you know.

as my tv immersion continues, i watch the usual jon and kate (natch) and am thrilled to announce that the new season of project runway is officially on canadian tv! and then...90210. i must admit. loved it. i will be watching it. period. anyone who wants to join...see you tuesday!

oh and i know that there had been some speculations made regarding little e's political leanings after her only turning left, but upon the completion of the republican convention i can tell you in complete honesty...that she rolled to the right....just putting it out there...just putting it out there.
