so last night sommer and i headed to the killers concert at the acc. as we stood in line to enter, i noticed that we seemed to be the oldest people going to the concert....mostly i was surrounded by 14 year olds. we were directed to the third floor for our seats and as we got off the elevator, we started seeing a segregation in the attendees. i felt....aged. clearly the high twenty early thirty crowd had decided, (as a demographic) to attend the concert, but that they couldn't rationalize spending more than $50 on a ticket, nor did they want to be shoved around in the teenies throng at the stage... so we all had delegated ourselves to the third level. when we got to our seats we were two rows from the top of the arena....a little bit higher than i had anticipated my frugality (is that a word?) would afford me.
the high point of the evening for me was a lady in her late 40's or early 50's who was d.r.u.n.k. with a capital d sitting two rows below us. she decided to spend most of the concert at the top of the aisle and used the hand rail as a dancing accessory as she "grooved" and flung her head and arms widely about. then as the concert ended and we passed her, she was sitting in her seat with tears streaming down her face...clearly the killers ensemble had so moved her that she was overcome with emotion at the musical denoument....or maybe she was just hammered.
the concert was awesome though...they actually sounded just like they do on their cd's. and i think any guy dressed in a waist coat (eric that means a suit vest) and dress pants when in a casual situ is undoubtably hot....well maybe not any guy....it has to be a skinny guy.....imagine lyndon in a suit vest...he is too muscular for that ;) ...just would not be good fashion decision. one thing i decided though...i wished i had gotten floor tickets...it just isnt the same when you are looking at the underside of a concrete beam directly in your line of sight. not ready for the 3rd level seats i guess.ps. they used glitter....and lots of it. boys who use glitter in any way...hot. nuff said.

oh man -- drunk'de'drunk is right! you forgot to mention the serious brampton/scarborough chick in front of us.......YIKES! i had a super time but really was not ready to listen to gr7 beginning band this morning. EEK! *ps - when did it become acceptable to wave your razor phone in lieu of a lighter?
